OCCUPATION: None OCCUPATIONAL BACKGROUND: U.S. Merchant Marine, Licensed Deck Officer, I.O. of Masters, Mates, and Pilots, AFL-CIO; Owner Soderback Associates; U.S. Navy Submarine Service. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Skyline and Chapman, 8th; Benson, 12th; Nautical School on G.I. Bill, Licensed Deck Officer; additional studies at Portland State University in Political Science. PRIOR GOVERNMENTAL EXPERIENCE: None TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE MULTNOMAH COUNTY GOVERNMENT BETTER! Find new funding for the Counties Willamette bridges Open the Wapito Jail only if the voters approve the funding The Commissioners need the work with Chair, Sheriff, and the District Attorney in improve the Justice System Need to co-ordinate private and public resources to make sure our seniors are taken care of These are just few things at the head of my list of priorities. The economy seems to be on a down turn and revenues will be hard to come by at all levels of government. We will need to see that our tax dollars are spent wisely. We must guard against the undue influence of special interests. I do not accept contributions from Political Action Committees (PAC's) or Lobbyist.
